As the days go by this blog just seems to becomes a record of start and finish times. I guess I have been too exhausted to write anything else….but lots happened today, we bought doughnuts and cheesy twisty thingys to share with everyone on site, went down like a treat. Roger Platts visited and was very complimentary about what we have done so far, loved the fact that we not crowding the plants, thought our schedule was on track (hysterical laughter ensues) and pointed out a few tiny errors to make good. Amanda left today after sterling work ensuring our plants are ‘show ready’, without her help we would have been a day and a half behind! I tweeted a pic of our kneepads that almost went viral, our turf arrived and we now have rolled out bits of turf that require almost constant watering. We have a huge long list of stuff to finish and top of that list is the planting . It’s taking waaay tooooo long. We are assessed late on Tuesday so will spend the morning making sure everything is perfect, and when I say everything I mean everything. That leaves just tomorrow and Monday. Well, at some point we have to turf and that knocks out half a day …. So one and a half days to sort out the sculpture, empty and clean the rill and pond, prepare our presentation, snagging, pretty constant watering and finishing the planting…..tomorrow we are on site at 7:00 a.m…….so here are some pics….goodnight…
