Hurrah, the planting is done. Roger Platts came round again and liked the airy, transparent feel and the way we have allowed the plants the space to shine
I hope the other RHS judges agree. Putting the gravel down was tedious but so worth it, it lights up the planting from underneath! Andrew from BigFish strode in like a knight in shining armour to fix the sculpture ( it looks hot) and sort out one of the turfing areas at the back of the fences.
He also left a high his high viz jacket for Amanda. I love my high viz jacket, it’s so…..empowering! I went food shopping one morning and opted to keep on the steelies and the high viz. What with that and my kneepads I felt like I had imaginary muscles and could take on the world.
Tomorrow is all about attention to detail. Ache all over and too tired even to watch Game of Thrones but so very happy, we finally have a real garden not a paper one.
